PocketCasts In this episode, I traveled up to the Beason Farm, to meet up with my good friend Cary Beason, host of the Salty Yak Outdoors Podcast. We are both planning a 4th season rifle elk hunt in Colorado in a few weeks, November 2026. I met up with him to do a little bowhunting but primarily to get in some long-range rifle shooting practice with him and some of the others that are going on the trip.
We discuss how and what we have been doing to get prepared for this upcoming hunt. We talk about our fears (being too damn cold); our rifle setups, gear we are taking and how our strategies are going to differ from each other. Hope you enjoy and thank you for listening.
